Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all those wonderful mother's in our life!

I have been SO blessed to be a mother! WE have been so so so blessed. Emma is indeed our miracle. I am so lucky to have been able to carry Emma and to experience the miracle of creation. Really no words can express my gratitude to the lord. He must truly love us to have sent us such a wonderful gift. Emma is a bright, happy, affectionate little girl. Over the last year of hardships and struggles and many months of disappointment with no baby #2, I look at my daughter and know that the lord has sent me this special person, and that regardless of our future posterity on this earth, he loved us enough to let us enjoy it at least once. Everyday that I come home to her and see her happy little face, I remember what is most important. The lord has a plan and I trust in him that he knows what is best for us. I can only pray and ask that we can be blessed again in this way, but if his plan is different from ours, I will not be ungreatful for what I have been given. And so, an ever greatful thank you to my Heavenly Father for this blessing. A thank you to my mother for her example and struggles with motherhood. She calms my sorrows and lifts me to high hopes. To Phil's mom for being such a generous woman. To all the women who are not yet mothers, to all those who are, to all those who hope for this miracle, my thoughts are with you. I hope you all have a beautiful Mother's day and that you enjoy the company of the mother's in your life!

The Beach

On Friday we had a bonfire at the beach with Uncle Russ and Auntie Gaye. We'd have loved to dip our toes, but it was wayyyyy too cold! It was a gorgeous 66 degrees, but at the beach with the ocean breeze it feels more like 55 and then when the sun sets...brrrrrrr. We had hot dogs and chips and smores! Emma loved it! Sand in her shoes and all. She even collected some sea shells. I have no idea what to do with them now. Lol This was completely different than last year when it was 90 degrees and we spent all day at the beach, but hey, you can't go to Cali and not visit the beach!

Easter!

I am starting to sort thru the mass amount of pictures from our weekend. Below is a slideshow of our Easter. Emma was so fun in her little dress and bonnet! We had fun decorating the eggs and Uncle Russ had fun hiding them! (Or should we say the Easter bunny)

Happy Birthday Amanda!

So Spring would not come to us so we went to spring! For my Birthday we went to California! We took a long weekend and went to the beach and Disneyland and had Easter lunch on the pier in Huntington. It was a fantastic getaway and a fabulous fun time! I have a ton of pics to sort thru and will update when I pull myself together. :)

It is April 2nd and still no signs of spring. It has snowed and snowed and then rained, and then snowed some more. There has been so much wind and hail I thought it was tornado season. The ski resorts are just eating it up and we really shouldnt complain as we really need the moisture, but.... ...where the heck is spring? Where are the blosoms and the flowers and the green grass and sun? Where is the blossoming loveliness that comes after the slumber of winter? I lament..... :)
