Kids say the funniest things!

On Saturday we usually do all of our errands for the week like laundry and grocery shopping, etc. I usually make a list and while Phil and I chatted about the things we needed, Emma was pretending to make her own list with a crayon and coloring book. We ran around like crazy and went to Walmart for our groceries. After dinner we decided to rent a movie and Phil wanted a treat. The Hollywood video is right next to Walmart so we headed back over. We were in the Walmart parking lot when Emma exclaims, "We need dog food!" We had totally forgotten when we were there the first time and she remembered! Phil and I were actually silent for a split second and then broke into hard laughter! Amazing how much she pays attention. We had no idea she was listening to our boring list of things we needed. :)

SUNBEAM!

Emma is officially a SUNBEAM! In December the kids who were 3 in nursery were going into Sharing-Time in the last hour and they thought Emma had already turned 3 and had taken her with them. She loved it and would fight them when it was time to go back to Nursery. Phil and I contemplated whether to keep her in nursery or ask permission to send her ahead since she only missed the cutoff by two weeks. So, this last week I spoke with the Primary president and she said they'd love to have her. There are only 4 Sunbeams including Emma and the Junior and Senior Primary combined is 20 kids. Small, I know. So Emma is officially a Sunbeam and her first week was this last Sunday. She loved it! She brought home her pictures from the lesson and told us all about it. I can't belive she is a sunbeam!

We had the wonderful opportunity to go through the newest temple in Utah! The open house just started a few weeks ago and so we decided to take Emma and go thru. It was so beautiful! Not a huge temple, but about the size of the Las Vegas Temple. I am always amazed at the details. Some of the rooms had hand painted murals that covered the entire walls. The celestial room had the largetst chandelier I have ever seen! That was Emma's favorite part. As we walked thru we pointed to pictures and different rooms. We explained to Emma it was a special place where we get married. We also explained that Mommy and Daddy were married in the temple. She turned to me and said, " I want to marry Daddy too!" So cute! She's too young to understand the concept that she'll have her own husband, but it was pretty funny at the time. Hard to be reverent, when your laughing at your innocent child! We had a great time, and we hope Emma keeps the special memory. :)

It has been a tradition at Emma's birthday that we take family photos. This year Emma was too cute, flirting with the girl taking the pictures and being a "helper" to a baby taking photos right before us. I still can't get over the fact that she is already three. She tells me that she is "not a baby. I'm a big girl." Time goes by too quickly. She is such a girly girl and I love it!
