I LOVE Pinterest, and I fully admit I should go to PA meetings. Ha! This week I was invited over to my friend Brooke's house for a few days of crafty Pinterest fun. Brooke made the cutest doll bedding ever!(I need to get some pics from her!) And she made some skirts from tutorials she found. I am not a great seamstress so I opted for things I could do by hand. The above chore chart I made just prior to our craft day, but its an idea I got thru Pinterest. Cost me $0 to make since I had everything. Gotta love that! The chart is hanging on the fridge and Emma is always excited to finish a chore and move the clothes pin to the "done" side!
My favorite project was the necklace. I saw the tutorial and have been wanting to do it for a few months now. I have also been searching for the beads. Nowhere to be found! At the last minute I found the one's in the tutorial but there weren't enough. Grrr! However, right next to them were some that were similar. I opted to try them instead. I am so glad I did because I think it turned out pretty cute. The beads are clear(as in the tutorial) and I had to paint them before I could string them. That's a different story in and of itself! ha! This was my most expensive craft at about $10 for the beads, string, ribbon, and jump rings. But I think I will make a few more in different colors! Pretty fun!
My 2nd project was to make some coasters for my end tables. We have cheap flimsy ones at the moment and I saw the cute idea thru Pinterest to use tiles and paper. Super duper easy! Tile+scrapbook paper+modgepodge=coaster. Cost me about $2 to make! I had the tiles and modge podge already but needed some pretty paper. Now we have sturdy useful coasters that aren't an eye sore!
Last but not least, I made a strap cover for my camera. The original strap is black and says Canon on it, and lets face it, not very attractive. I have seen them online thru Etsy and I have seen a few tutorials thru Pinterest. So I decided to give it a try. Just used on-hand fabric scraps and most was done by hand. Again, I am not a great seamstress. I used WitchStitch for the major seams. This project also cost me $0 as I had the printed fabric already and Brooke gave me the strip of blue from scraps of her skirt fabric. (Thanks Brooke!) Turned out cute for someone with no patience for a needle and thread!
Thanks Brooke for the fun Craft days and I enjoyed hangin out with your Mom and GG! Gotta do this again for some Fall projects! :)
And I have to give a shout out to all the people who are the true inspiration behind our pins on Pinterest! They have filled my mind with so many possibilities!

Love the necklace and camera strap! Super cute! Why do we live so far from each other... we could be crafting together!
Heck ya! Too bad we are 17 hours apart. Makes for a not so quick drive. lol
